The unique Elena Obraztsova Vocal Mastery Workshop will be open from 20th until 28th February in Moscow. All studies will take place at the Moscow State Art Gallery of the People’s Artist of the USSR Alexander Shilov (Znamenka str., 5).

- Recital of the People’s Artist of the USSR Olga VOLKOVA
- Practical training session «Russian romance» of the People’s Artist of the USSR Larisa KURDYUMOVA
- Practical training session «Work of a director with a singer-actor» of the Artistic Director of the Moscow State Academic Children Musical Theatre named after Natalia Sats Georgy ISAAKYAN
- Master class «From correct pronunciation to correct interpretation: features of the articulatory basis for vocalists in Russian, German and French repertoire» of the vocal phonetics teacher of the Liszt School of Music (Germany) Vladimir LYSKOV-STREWE (Brussels – Berlin)
- Italian language practical training session for vocalists of the teacher Anna KRIVCHENKOVA
- Lecture and master class «Work on a word in chamber vocal music» of the professor of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music and International Slav Institute Maria BER
- Master class «In continuation of the Vazha Chachava traditions: basic principles of the work on an opera repertoire» of the Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, accompanist of The Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow and Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory Anna MARGULIS
- Lecture «Singing voice protection» of the Honoured Doctor of the Russian Federation, phoniatrist of the Bolshoi Theatre Nadezhda GVOZDETSKAYA
- Practical training sessions and master classes of the teachers, professors of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts and Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute
An evening cultural program is expected to become a constant inspiration to the participants, in addition to the day studies. Participants of the Workshop will be provided with opportunity to visit the best concert and opera venues of Moscow.
The secret of success of the professional vocalist is not only in a good voice but also in an ability to behave on stage, to speak correctly and beautifully, to develop a good taste and charm. Participants of the Workshop will be given a chance to learn all the nuances of the vocal art, to improve their stage talent, and also to show what they can do, to share an experience with each other and to make the acquaintance of the professionals of the theatre mastery.
Everyone is welcome to participate, if your life and professional activity are related to opera and theatre.
The Workshop will be completed on February 28th at 7 p.m., at the Alexander Shilov Gallery, with the Gala-concert of the participants and Presentation of Diplomas and Certificates, confirming methodological and practical work during Workshop’s activities.
Over a period of her life Elena Obraztsova gave master classes all over the world. Since 2005, Elena Obraztsova Vocal Mastery Workshop has been carried out regularly in St.Petersburg and Moscow. Mission of this Workshop is to contribute to the improvement of the mastery of young singers, to the exchange of experience of the vocal coaches, singers, accompanists and theatrical workers.
Teachers give participants of the master-classes lessons; during these lessons the work on the pieces at the participant’s choice will be carried out. The participant should also attend the lessons with another vocalists, as well as practical training sessions, open lessons, concerts and performances.
Number of the individual lessons should be fixed by the participant of the master classes himself and stated in the application form.
One individual lesson with a Master costs Roubles 6 000.
Services of an accompanist, which Foundation can provide on the request of a participant, cost Roubles 800.
A trainee of the Workshop attends all the vocal lessons as well as practical training sessions, open lessons, concerts and performances.
Training cost for a trainee of the Workshop for the complete course — Roubles 5 000.
One-time attendance of the lectures and studies of the Workshop (1 day) – Roubles 700.
Participants of the master classes and trainees of the Workshop will bear all the expenses related to their staying in Moscow.
The Charitable Foundation of Support for the Music Art Elena Obraztsova Foundation can assist with hotel booking, if this wish is stated in the application form.
The music material should be provided by the participants of the master classes.
Photographing/video filming of the lessons is allowed.
After completion of the Workshop, participants of the master classes and trainees will get diplomas/certificates, which confirm their methodological and practical work, attendance of the lectures and lessons in the course of the Elena Obraztsova Vocal Mastery Workshop, in case of attendance of not less than 70% of the school hours.
