On May 17 at 7 p.m. the presentation of the Larisa Kurdyumova’s textbook Elena Obraztsova Vocal Mastery Workshop will take place at the Hall of the Music Workers International Union (Arkhipova Musical Salon).
While possessing great experience of working on stage and as a teacher, Elena Obraztsova had been collecting materials for «The Book on Singing», as she called it, for many years, but she didn’t have time to implement her idea. On the Foundation’s request this very difficult and responsible mission has been taken by the first student of Elena Obraztsova Larisa Kurdyumova.
Reviewers — People’s Artists of the USSR, Professors Tamara Sinyavskaya and Zurab Sotkilava have given a high assessment of the undoubtedly selfless work of their colleague, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the singing technique idea and the specifics of Elena Obraztsova’s teaching method, as well as theoretical understanding of the teaching practice of this great singer.
The book is addressed to the specialists, teachers, vocal students and vocal artists; it would be of great interest to a wide range of the vocal art enthusiasts. The author Larisa Kurdyumova will summarize the work undertaken on her textbook. People’s Artists of the USSR Tamara Sinyavskaya and Zurab Sotkilava will take part in the presentation.
Within the presentation, there will be a concert performed by the participants of the Elena Obraztsova Vocal Mastery Workshop and Prize Winners at the Elena Obraztsova international competitions, such as People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Larisa Kurdyumova, Vladimir Dmitruk, Badral Chuluunbaatar, Zvetana Omelchuk, Dmitri Grigoryev, Elnara Karakhanova and Nikita Voronchenko; piano part will be performed by the Prize Winner at the international competitions Nikolai Medvedev.
